Hong Kong, China Delegation Departs for Finland to Compete at the 2026 World Abilitysport Guttmann Games

The Hong Kong, China delegation has officially departed for Lahti, Finland, to participate in the upcoming 2026 World Abilitysport Guttmann Games. The delegation comprises 16 athletes who will compete in Disability Snooker and Para Dance Sport events from 17 to 20 August, aiming to achieve strong results on the international stage.


In Disability Snooker, Hong Kong, China will be represented by four athletes. Among them is LAM Kai Ming, who claimed a silver medal at the World Disability Snooker Championship in June this year and will compete in the Group 3. MA Wah Keung, who secured a bronze medal at the same championship, will join KWOK Ka Fai Simon and Ng Cheuk Pon in the Group 1+2 competitions as they look to build on their recent success.


In Para Dance Sport, 12 athletes will represent Hong Kong, China. Ten of them previously competed at the 2026 World Abilitysport Youth Games, where they helped the team achieve an impressive haul of five silver and two bronze medals. These athletes are WONG Wo Chau, LUI Yee Ting, YU Chun Yin Matthew, CHOI Tsz Yan, SO Tze Yan Susanna, LEE Pui Yin, Wong Kin Hung, LI Ka Yun, FUNG Shui Chun, and TSE Chun Yin. They will once again take to the international stage in Lahti.In addition, FOO Yuen Wai,  an athlete from Para Sailing and Shooting Para Sport, will partner with Tsui Pui Ying to make their Para Dance Sport debut at the Games.
